Using the correct contact helps avoid unnecessary forwarding and duplicate correspondence. For questions about an existing submission, include the manuscript ID and manuscript title in your message whenever available.
Please avoid sending the same request simultaneously to several journal addresses unless an urgent matter genuinely requires escalation.

Special Issue or Thematic Collection proposals should normally use the journal's dedicated proposal portal when available. Questions concerning a new Special Issue proposal should follow the portal instructions; the current proposal page directs submissions to the publisher/general contact address.
Special Issue Proposal Portal Email Special Issue ProposalPlant Science Horizons currently waives article processing charges through 2029. Authors should therefore not expect a routine APC invoice for a manuscript covered by the current policy.
Any future change in charges should be announced transparently on the journal website. Authors receiving an unexpected payment request should verify it with the journal or publisher using the official addresses listed on this page before making payment.
PSH aims to respond to legitimate inquiries as promptly as reasonably possible during working days. Response time varies according to the nature of the inquiry, editorial workload, investigation requirements, production stage, and whether consultation with an editor, reviewer, author, publisher representative, or technical team is required.
For an active manuscript, authors should normally allow the relevant editorial workflow to proceed rather than sending repeated status requests at short intervals.
Authors, reviewers, and readers should be cautious of unsolicited messages requesting payment, passwords, account credentials, manuscript files, or personal information from addresses unrelated to the journal's official domain.
If a message appears unusual, verify it independently using the contact information published on the PSH website rather than replying to an unverified sender.
For manuscript and peer-review matters, contact the Editorial Office. For accepted-article production, contact Production. For licensing and permissions, contact Copyright & Permissions. For OJS or website problems, contact Technical Support. Senior editorial or research-integrity matters may be directed to Editorial Leadership.
